Work, Winter and Baby have somewhat reduced my modelling time lately, but I've finally put in some test prints for some new models. ZM9 and a Couillet 040T in O9, and the CIE Cement Bubble in 4mm/ft. Hopefully I will be able to release those soon. I've also been hacking some styrene sheet into interesting new O9 shapes (small garratt and Hunslet bogie diesel), so perhaps when/if they get finished I'll put some more photos in the mod
I've made Annie available in O9 as I'm very happy with my test build. I've also rescaled it to 1/24 by request (you can find it on Shapeways). This week I've also produced Leo70 in 1/32 scale by request, again available on shapeways.
My real job is taking up a bit more time at the moment (as does my family), so work continues on the CIE cement bubble and ZM9. I've decided to add this page to let you know about new models which I am working on. Not everything on this page will be finished or released, but it gives you an idea of what might be next. Annie in O9 (Bagnall 042T as on the Groudle Glen Railway). has been drawn and the test print is in the final stages of finishing. As soon as it's finished I'll be releasing it. Fits on a fleischmann 7000 chassis. CIE Cement Bubble in 4mm/ft. has been test printed, awaiting a few final tweaks before release. Uses underframe and parts of the Dapol Prestwin kit, and the Studio Scale Models handrail etch. Hudswell Clarke ZM9/Crewe/LMS 5519 in O9. CAD is partly done for the crewe/horwich works 18" gauge shunter (the first diesel loco on any of the big 4!). This kit will include a chassis frame in order to build the correct mechanism. Cavan & Leitrim 440T in 7mm/ft scale - CAD is partly done for the body, this has stalled as I can't find any photos showing the top of the side tanks. I have produced several chassis blocks of varying gauges and wheelbases using Nigel Lawton's components. I hope to produce a fleischmann 7000 replacement chassis allowing Sipat and my other steam locos to be built for 14mm or 16.5mm gauges. AS part of this, I have been experimenting with 3D printed bagnall driving wheel centres for kbscale wagon wheels. |
